I have 22 years of experience as a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (1980) and an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Massage Therapy from the Myotherapy Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska (2006).
In 2005, my neck, shoulders, and knees were injured in a mountain biking accident. Within a year I had relentless back pain, hip pain, neck pain, and headaches. My pain interfered with all aspects of my life and no treatment helped relieve it.
I was introduced to Trigger Point Release Therapy through a self-help book. I quickly became aware that myofascial trigger points were the cause of my pain, but my condition was severe and I would not be able to release the trigger points on my own. Receiving trigger point release therapy from trained and certified practitioners allowed me to live with less pain, identify factors perpetuating the development of my myofascial constriction, and return to a healthy life!
I am grateful to be able to decrease the myofascial pain of others through this work.
